Print Planner

Work out print sizes, crop tradeoffs, and required resolution — no upload needed.

Limited to 75 calculations per week.

Print sizes are calculated from your inputs against standard DPI targets — actual results can vary by printer and paper. Treat this as a planning guide, not an exact spec.

Start here if you know your camera's resolution. Enter its megapixels and native aspect ratio to see the largest size you can print at each quality level — plus what cropping to a different shape (a square post, a panorama, etc.) would cost you.

If a row below isn't your camera's ratio, choose how it should be handled:

Crop to fill — trims part of the photo so it exactly fills the new shape. No border, but you lose some of the frame.

Fit with border — keeps the whole photo intact and adds a border around it to reach the new shape. Nothing is lost, but the print gets bigger.
